Finding What's in Front of You

Sometimes what your looking for is right in front of you, you just need someone to point it out.  I am always on the search for new shoot locations so when Corie suggested Degnan Park in West Orange, I was eager to check it out.  It turns out I've driven past this modestly sized and surprisingly quiet park for years but never even noticed it until a week ago.  We had a great time at the shoot--we practically had the entire park to ourselves.  Thanks for the find Corie!  I'll definitely be coming back.

Dapper Dude

In preparation for his 1st birthday, Jake and his parents, Dave and Tami, decided to get together for a photo session.  This dapper little dude was all business with his monogrammed chambray shirt, khakis, and loafers.  With his hair gelled and spiked, and armed with his winning smile, Jake was all ready for the camera.  Watch out ladies, there's a stud on the loose!

Sweet Summer Endings

To finish out my portfolio building summer promo sessions, I spent my last weekend back where I started, photographing a lovely family at Verona Park.  John, Lisa, and their little boy, Jonathan, came to the park to enjoy themselves and the weather--no props, plans or preconceived notions, just a lot of love and contentment for each other.  I photograph a lot of families.  But being able to capture these stories and relationships through photography never gets old for me.  Thank-you to all my clients for sharing a slice of your lives.  It has been an honor and pleasure to do so.

Aussies On The Move

Aussie expats, Jeremy and Leif, and their two boys, Sebastian and Jonah, are definitely a family on the go!  I had a great morning spending time with them at their lovely home, photographing everyone doing what they love best, whether it be silly-dancing to music in the crib or bouncing on the trampoline in the backyard.  It definitely was not your typical sit-nicely-in-front-of-the-camera photo shoots (it never is!) but we had a great time and a lot of great shots nonetheless.  Big props to Mum and Dad for keeping up with these two little balls of energy!  Enjoy the rest of your time here in The States!
