Early morning shoots can be tough but parents-to-be, Linda and Winston, were hard core troopers. We practically had the entire NYC High Line to ourselves while Mom and Dad worked that bump in front of the camera. Congratulations on your impending arrival! I can't wait to meet your little girl!
When I arrived for Joanna and Anthony's maternity session, I could tell they were in full nesting mode! Spackling, sanding, and painting in the baby's room; high chairs and swings assembled and ready for use. But among the pile of shower gifts and power tools, they still managed to take time out to share a few special moments together in front of the camera with their baby boy-to-be. Congratulations you guys!
This past weekend I had the great pleasure of photographing the wedding of my dear friends Stephanie and Eduardo. I've known them for several years so when they finally got engaged, I was thrilled when they asked me to be their wedding photographer. The entire weekend was like a love fest with all their family and friends. It started at their family beach house in Margate City, NJ where I myself had spent many memorable summers. Then it ended with a kickin' reception at the ever sophisticated One Atlantic in Atlantic City, NJ. I have never seen Stephanie or Eduardo so happy and excited before; I am so blessed and honored to have been able to share in their big day!
"Moo-moo cow!" That is what my 14 month-old daughter, Viola, started babbling on our way home from Bobolink Dairy & Bakehouse. This 185 acre farmstead in Milford, NJ is where Jonathan and Nina White raise beautiful grass fed dairy cows the way nature intended, and is where they produce delicious artisanal cheeses and rustic breads. Jonathan was kind enough to take us around the property to meet its inhabitants. It is amazing to see how instinctively social these cows are when left alone to be...well, to be cows. Add a young toddler to the mix and then suddenly something magical happens. I don't know exactly how to describe what happened but it was as if Viola and these animals understood the same language. What I do know is that for the next few days, The Wheels (on the bus) will be playing second fiddle to Old McDonald.
