Everything else is cake
I've learned by now that no matter how much we try to plan, the universe has it's own beautiful plan. When life turns in an unexpected direction, the only thing we can do is embrace it and try our best to make good choices from what is presented to us (and maybe try to influence the ones we care about to do the same.) Everything else is just cake waiting to be eaten and enjoyed.

The best part celebrating the Lunar New Year with my girls' schools is watching these kids try something new. At the end of the day, the tray always comes back empty.
Be the love. Be the witness
The people we love have the power to make us laugh and cry--they especially have a knack of driving us crazy. They make mistakes, sometimes big ones. But they always manage to come through in a big way just when we least expect it. The people we love know about and accept all of our beautiful flaws despite our own self deprecating criticism.
Bursting at the seams
The moment you realize you've been sharing 1 bathroom between 2 adults and 3 kids (with another on the way!) it is probably a good time to think about moving to a bigger house! Breaking the news of a new baby is always an exciting time, especially when sharing the news with your own kids. Thank you Julie and Rob for sharing with me this special day with your beautiful boys. I can't wait to meet Baby Rutigliano in the spring!
